Public training

Booking terms

These terms apply to bookings for DATA LEAGUE public training courses. By booking, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the people you book for. Last updated 11 October 2026.

1. Your booking

A booking is for the course, dates and number of seats shown at checkout. Card bookings are confirmed when payment succeeds. Invoice bookings are confirmed when we receive payment (see section 4). We'll email a confirmation and tax invoice to the person who booked, and course details to each attendee.

2. Prices, GST and discounts

  • Prices are per person, in Australian dollars, and include GST.
  • Early-bird prices apply until 4 weeks before the first day of the course.
  • Bookings of 3 or more seats in one booking receive 10% off each seat.
  • Discounts don't combine: you receive whichever price is lower. The price is confirmed before you pay.

3. Paying by card

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number. Your seats are held for 30 minutes while you complete checkout; if checkout isn't completed, the seats are released.

4. Paying by invoice or purchase order

Invoice payment is available until 14 days before the course. We hold your seats for 7 days and email a tax invoice. If payment hasn't arrived when the hold ends, we may release the seats, and we'll tell you before we do. Ask us if you need more time.

5. If you need to cancel

When you tell usRefund
More than 14 days before the first dayFull refund
7 to 14 days before50% refund
Less than 7 days before, or not attendingNo refund

Please email cancellations to info@dataleague.com.au. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days.

6. Substitutions

You can send someone else in an attendee's place at any time, at no cost. Reply to your confirmation email with their name and email address.

7. If we change or cancel a course

Courses run with a minimum of 4 attendees. We decide whether a course will run 10 business days before it starts. If we cancel or reschedule, you can choose a full refund or a seat in the next available class. We're not responsible for travel or accommodation costs, so please don't book non-refundable travel until we've confirmed the course. We may change the trainer or the venue within the Perth CBD; we'll tell you if we do.

8. Attending

  • Classroom courses: bring the equipment listed in your pre-course email. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are provided.
  • Online courses: you need a reliable internet connection and a laptop. Lab accounts we provide are for training only and are removed after the course.
  • We expect everyone to treat other attendees and the trainer with respect. We may ask anyone who doesn't to leave, without a refund.

9. Course materials

Course materials are for the attendee's own learning. Please don't copy, share or resell them, or use them to run training for others, without our written permission.

10. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any booking is limited to the price paid for it.

11. Your personal information

We use the details you give us to manage your booking, contact attendees about the course and issue certificates. They're kept in our customer relationship system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and our booking system on Microsoft Azure. See our privacy policy for more.
